Who We Are
Allura is a Vancouver-based counselling private practice that focuses on sex, sexuality and relationships. Our centre is a sex-positive, pleasure-focused and trauma-informed space with a relational & attachment-lens committed to providing safe, judgement-free sex therapy, couples counselling, and trauma counselling. Our clinic is located in the heart of Downtown Vancouver (Coast Salish Territory) and we also practice virtually across BC, working with adult clients of all genders, sexual orientations, and relationship structures.
Who Are You
Are you passionate about sex and sexuality? Do you want to learn more about sexual health, performance, and sexual trauma? Do you want to integrate pleasure and joy into your therapy practice? Do you want to practice from an intersectional highly relational and trauma-informed lens? Are you working to become an anti-racist practitioner?
You don’t need to be an expert in sex or sexuality to apply. We’re looking for applicants who are excited to learn and willing to focus on the specific practice of sex therapy. Applicants should be able to work independently and demonstrate strong clinical skills, communication and self-awareness. Applicants who are open to exploring their emotional and counter-transference responses as a part of their professional development and supervision process would be a good fit for our practice. Applicants with with diverse backgrounds and lived experiences as a BIPOC, POC, or LGBTQIA2S+ person are strongly encouraged to apply.
