Therapy is a hard thing to pin down. How I approach therapy recognizes the stigma you may face going to therapy, whatever your reason for coming. Therapy asks you to be vulnerable and open to the processes that can sometimes bring up sometimes painful and frustrating feelings. However, counselling is a safe space to work through these difficult parts so that you are able to take better control over your own life and live your life authentically. Learning to become an authentic person is the ongoing journey we all undergo and with counselling, it can be a bit easier.

I believe strongly in meeting an individual where they are presently and working alongside their own desires for change and growth. People have such a power to connect with others and better understand themselves in ways I am continuously be in awe of. I work with an open and curious mind and I invite all persons coming to counselling to be open about the process. You may be surprised with what you notice about yourself and how you relate to others in your life.

Sexuality has a crucial role in our mental health, whether you may find that you have little to no interest in it or find yourself in a challenging place in your sexuality. Sex has the power to invigorate us, empower us and change us beyond our expectations. I am currently developing my skills into sex therapy and beginning my journey into integrating the powerful relationship that sexuality has in regard to a person’s relationships with themselves and with others.

I work with individual and couples counselling with regards to relationship difficulties, communication and boundary building, monogamy & non-monogamy. I specialize in working with LGBTQIA+ individuals and couples through relational issues, discovering (and rediscovering!) aspects of their sexuality and identity.

I am also an Art Therapist, which you may be asking yourself; why art therapy? What if I can’t draw or even consider myself an artist? I invite you to be curious – of yourself, your abilities and of your creativity when working with me. Creativity is not all done on a canvas, it is the way we live, work, think and love.

Who am I outside of my role as a Therapist?

I’m an artist, so I try my best to challenge myself through new mediums and styles to further develop my creative skills. It can be a struggle sometimes make time for art, but I try my best to include art into my daily life whenever possible. Some of my passions include learning to cook Italian food and trying old family recipes. I enjoy going on walks in Vancouver and exploring even more of beautiful BC when I have the chance to.

My pronouns are she/her and I identify as a queer person.
