Sex and sexual difficulties are common, natural parts of life, yet they are often seen as taboo or inappropriate to discuss.

I’m training to become a sex therapist because I want to help peel back the layers of shame and guilt that society has entrenched on us and engage in open conversations about sexuality and relationships. I have experience working with survivors of sexual violence and I witnessed how the persistent culture of silence exacerbated the impacts of the trauma. By providing a space where you can talk freely about your experiences, we can start to break down the isolation around these topics and help you feel more understood and supported.

I bring a compassionate yet playful approach to therapy. I use an Internal Family Systems and Attachment lens to better understand the roots of your concerns. This means I seek to understand the value and utility of all parts within yourself, whether they are favourable to you or not (like a ‘relentless inner critic’ part or a ‘hair trigger defender’ part). All parts of you are shaped by your life experiences; they reflect what you have been through and how you have learned to persevere. Together, I hope we can begin to uncover your inner ecology of parts, show compassion for their/your journey to get here today and begin dismantling what no longer serves you.

I understand that each person has their own unique story and worldview, and I’m committed to meeting you with flexibility and humility. I’m excited to get to know you and see how we can work together!

With my free time, I like sewing, trying out new recipes and watching reality TV.
